We ship packages promptly upon the receipt of your payment. We use the United States Postal Service for shipment of most packages. Packages are prepared for shipping using sturdy boxes when called for along with plenty of bubble wrap and foam peanuts. We want your package to arrive safely. Postal insurance is always available at the buyer's request. We don't try to make money on shipping charges but please be aware that we often offer Media Mail or Parcel Post when appropriate. We can't use the free Priority Mail boxes for these shipments so you may notice that the shipping quoted may be a bit more than the postage paid. This small increase helps us to cover the cost of mailing boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc. These items aren't free but are essential for safe shipment of your item.

 When shipping by Priority Mail we try to charge as close to the actual postage required as possible. The United States Postal Service doesn't make this easy as any packages weighing over one pound are charged on a variable scale based on the shipping destination. It's often hard to quote a shipping rate for Priority Mail as we have no way of knowing beforehand where an item may end up being shipped.
